How to Join

See this box in the UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THIS PAGE?

To get started, click the Sign UP link. If you are already a member of a Ning social network, click the Sign IN link and use the email and password you use for your other Ning social networks.  You'll be asked to fill out a few profile questions.  We will never share email addresses with anyone. Ever.

After you've filled out your profile, it will be submitted to us for review. When your $5 donation comes through, we'll approve you for membership.   So head on over to....

 DONATE TO OUR GRANT ACCOUNT

To join as an Individual, please donate a minimum of $5 through our Paypal account. (We are very happy to accept donations greater than $5. However, each member, regardless of the size of his or her donation, gets one vote when we are awarding our grants). 

To join as a Family, please donate a minimum of $5 for each member of your family via our PayPal account. Then send the email addresses they will use to join 5 for Fairness to us at 5forFairness@gmail.com so we can match your family members with your donation.

To give a membership as a gift, please donate a minimum $5 for each gift membership via our PayPal account.  Then send the email addresses your friend will use to join 5 for Fairness to us at 5forFairness@gmail.com so we can match your friend with your donation.

We'll make every effort to approve your application within 24 hours.  We know it is a pain to wait, but one very significant benefit of having a membership/donation requirement is that we hope 5 for Fairness will be a troll-free environment.

You'll receive an email from us when we've matched your profile with your donation. You can then sign in and participate in the community, invite your friends, propose worthy projects, get others to support them, evaluate projects to makes sure they are up to snuff and vote for your favorite projects.
