Why I support the Global Fund and hope you do too....

I became involved with the Global Fund for Women in 2008. I was moved to become a donor when I saw the great care that this organization exercises in making its grants to grass-roots women's organizations and initiatives around the world. Recently, I had the opportunity to travel to southern India in November with a group of Global Fund For Women donors. I was amazed at how many different ways the GFW makes grant--some are very small grants, given to very small women's groups. We in the West tend to think that if we are not making big dollar donations, we are not affecting change. Nothing could be further from the truth, especially in the developing world. I encourage you to consider donating to this organization, whether your ability to donate is large scale or small. Anything you give will be put to good use!
